Baldev Raj elected to INEA

Dr. Baldev Raj, director of the Indira Gandhi Centre For Atomic Research in Kalpakkam, India, has been elected a member of the eliteC (INEA). The 150 member INEA is a body of scientists, policy makers and legal luminaries engaged in development and utilisation of peaceful applications of nuclear energy in a safe and economic manner throughout the world.
Dr. Raj, the father figure of Indiaâ€™s Next Gen fast breeder reactor technology, has been honored for his contributions to the robust applications of nuclear science and technology to the generation of energy. â€śThis honor is in recognition of the work of Dr. Raj in the area of materials science and technology and his contributions towards the development of fast breeder reactors,â€ť said an atomic energy department release.
