Baldev Raj elected to INEA

Dr. Baldev Raj, director of the Indira Gandhi Centre For Atomic Research in Kalpakkam, India, has been elected a member of the eliteC (INEA). The 150 member INEA is a body of scientists, policy makers and legal luminaries engaged in development and utilisation of peaceful applications of nuclear energy in a safe and economic manner throughout the world.
Dr. Raj, the father figure of India’s Next Gen fast breeder reactor technology, has been honored for his contributions to the robust applications of nuclear science and technology to the generation of energy. “This honor is in recognition of the work of Dr. Raj in the area of materials science and technology and his contributions towards the development of fast breeder reactors,” said an atomic energy department release.
